Anger – 2015.10.25

Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
Ephesians 4:26
Anger is not always wrong. Sometimes he is divine. It depends what he is condemning, and why he arose.
Jesus was very angry when He entered the temple and saw that it was all about money. John the Baptist was very angry when the pharisees approached him. God was angry about Sodom and Gomorrha. We should be angry about sin and injustice.
However, mostly we are angry because something is not pleasing us. It could be that we are ignored or offended, or that somebody is disappointing and deceiving us. Being angry is a normal reaction of us. Sometimes we get angry during a conversation if we do not get right. All in all one can say anger is often a character of the Old Man. Unfortunately you find the holy anger rarely in the New Man.
God gave us this kind of feeling. However, He will control the anger. It should not rule us.
His way with us and our anger is as follows: We with our selfish sensations, which are thinking only about oneself, should die like the kernel of wheat falls to the ground and die in order to produce fruits. We should not take us so important, the Old Man has to die. Only then we can be one with God. Many want to be one with the universe and are looking for harmony within themselves. We want much more: to be one with God!
His peace should reign. However, if we want to fall asleep at night full of anger, this does not work. First you have to forgive. Do it among each other as Jesus forgives us. Only then there is peace.
Lasting anger can lead to bitterness which poison our own life. You possibly have to take sleeping pills or other things to be able to sleep. Far better is the peace of God, which reigns in us!
Even if we find it difficult we should give our anger to God and forgive this person who has made us angry before. We even pray for him and wish him all the best. We place ourselves under the will of God and leave everything to Him. He wonderfully will care about us.

Thank you, Jesus, You know me through and through! You also know why I am in a bad mood sometime and am angry. I leave my feelings and my situations to You. You should be my Lord; Your will should be done!
