Be at rest, O my soal! – 2015.03.01

Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
For you, O Lord, have delivered my soal from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
Psalm 116: 7-9
This morning I thought of the great deeds of the Lord in my life. How often He has safed me! How often He had helped me! I remember His miracles when He healed sickness and accidental damages because we called on Him. There were car rides where I had to reckon with an accident. I thank Him for protection. I thank Him for having hold me back from a path which nearly had led me to sin. Yes, He cared so much for me and I will not forget His good deeds.
I remember His consolation: When there was a calamity in my life He comforted me, built me up, gave me strength.
I remember His provision: Always I could pay the bills although there wwas no monay available at first.
I remember His blessings how He gave me success in my daily work. How He helped me in hopeless situations so that all developed at the end for good. Again I thank Him for having protected my children from accidents and for having healed them. His Hands had fended off the danger, otherwise they would not be alive. There are so many things for which I am so grateful!
Thus my soul should come to rest. In this world there always will be difficulties, we will have to face new problems constantly. However, in the same way as the Lord helped me sofar, He certainly will be at my side in future. Yes, my soal, be at rest again, for He has been good to me always. He had delivered my soal from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I will keep going with Him in the land of living.
My soal is getting happy and grateful when I am thinking of His great deeds. I firmly hope that He will do great deeds in my life also in future. He is the Lord who stands firmly by my side.

Father in heaven, I am so grateful that you always have helped me. Even If I was responsable for my own misfortune, You were there and intervened. I am so glad to have found you. I am so relieved to talk to you about anything, to pour out my heart to You. You understand me, forgive me, you don`t grudge, have always a good word for me instead. You are my hope yesterday, today and for ever. How marvellous it is, that You are there!
