The one who is victorious will be dressed in white as well. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and His angels.
Revelation 3:5
Our Father in heaven has a big book with the names of all people who trust in Jesus. Jesus had purified them from all sins irrespective how great and how many. In the name of Jesus they are now justified and dressed in white garments. One day all people will stand before the Throne of God. Then the Book will be opened and all people who are mentioned therein will be called out. They may enter then the Glorious. And the other people? God will forget them as they had denied Jesus. They had not been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. They did not listen to Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life! The broad path which they go leads into the abyss.
The people in the Book of Life may eat from the Tree of Life and will live forever. This tree was in the paradise. When Adam and Eve violated the commandment, opposed their Lord, God placed an angel before the Gate of Paradise to prevent the man from eating of the Tree of Life. Now through Jesus the path to this Tree of Life is free again. God is faithful! When He has set your name into the Book of Life nobody will be able to delete it. It will stand there forever! It was His decision to accept you as His child and He will stick to that even if we make it hard for Him sometimes.
We commit ourselves to Jesus and He commits Himselves to us. The accuser, the devil always tries to blame us and is eager that God is condemning us. But Jesus is there and says: Stopp! The punishment already had been on Me! This person cannot be punished again for the same fault.
Jesus is our Defender and Advocate. No matter what the accusations are, Jesus protects us. He covers us with His wings like the mother hen her chickens. We may go to Jesus with all matters which burden us. He helps and stands faithfully at our side.
Thank You, Jesus, You have written my name in the Book of Life. You have cleansed and justified me before the Father. You gave me the Holy Spirit who enables me to follow You. And through You I may eat from the Tree of Life and live with You forever.
