He’s coming soon! – 2016.05.14

Be dressed for serviceand keepyourlampsburning. Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return…
Luke 12: 35f.

The servants of God are actively waiting for the return of their Lord Jesus. You shall not go into "hibernation" and think: As long as he has not already come, he will certainly not come now. And so they are sluggish, asleep or go to other pursuits. The Lord has commanded them to manage His assets, but they argue, dominate and enjoy a good life.
Blessed is the servant who takes care of the affairs of his Lord! He will be praised by Jesus. However, he who suppresses his fellow servants, and strives to reign over them and uses the riches of God for themselves, will be chased away by Lord. He will come back, when we does not expect it, when the night is darkest when everything feels safe.
About 10 percent of people own about 90 percent of all goods. Does good think this is fair? 90 percent of people live on 10 percent of all goods. Do they see this as ok? We Christians are called to build God’s kingdom of justice. We are not called to revel in wealth and the leave others work for starvation wages. We can, if we want to change much, because we are many!
Our wealth has the temptation to make us lazy. We feel so at home here! We do not need Jesus’ return, it could interfere.
And poverty has the temptation to provide justice with one’s fist, to steal, to lie and to curse God.
How will Jesus find us? Lazy and slow, living, in comfort or as liars and cheats? How do we deal with our wealth or with our poverty? Are we so sure in Jesus that we can share a light heart? Are we so firm in Jesus that the emergency chains us firmly to Jesus?
In Proverbs 30, 8f is a good prayer:
Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God
.
Yes, Lord, I love You! That’s why I’m waiting for Your arrival. To help me to be a faithful servant who manages loyal Your affairs! Whether I have much or little, is not important. Importantly, Thou shalt dwell in my heart! Yes, I long for You !!
