The Lord said:
"I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of the land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.”
Exodus 3:7
It is not true if you think that God is not interested in our well-being. The opposite is the case, He loves us as His children. He knows our suffering and wants to bring us into a land where milk and honey are flowing. He rescues us from the hand of accusers and impellers, liberates us from all evil and bless us with His richness. He is present, standing at our side holding His protecting and helping hands over us.
Jesus came down from heaven to save us. He left behind His divinity and glory humbled himself to live as a man with all human limitations. He brought the good news that God loves and saves His children. Jesus sacrified himself for us so release us from punishment. Salvation is there!
It is up to us now how far we take advantage of this offer. Do we say yes and let us draw near to His heart? Or do we carry on fighting against everything in own strength? No, I will seek His protection to receive the foretaste of the promised land where honey and milk are flowing. He is with me even in greatest turmoil, in strongest storms. When people are talking bad things about me and spread lies, when there are disputes – always I am secure in His hands. He comforts me, encourages me, He intervenes in unbearable moments. He is there, my Saviour and Helper! How glad I am that I do not have to go my way alone. Jesus is at my side. He fills my heart with joy and piece. No, I will not go back to Egypt.
Instead I will enter the land promised by Jesus where my soal will find rest. Jesus came to make an end to all sufferings. Now He looks for men whom He can send.
At that time He sent Moses to Egypt to free his people. Today He wants to send us and to equip us with authority, mercy, and power. Everywhere there are people who suffer and see no way out. Lord, open our eyes!
Thank you, Jesus, You are our Saviour! I may totally rely on You! You know about my situation and are helping me. Equip me with mercy, wisdom, and power, enabling me to tell other people about You. Fortify me to go, to do Your work. You will be with me.
