Prayers in times of epidemic  –  2020.04.19

Rejoice in the Lord always!
I will say it again: Rejoice! …
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your request to God.
Philippians 4:4f

What a wonderful and almighty Savior we have! Jesus Christ! He loves us, has given his life for us. There is nothing that He does not want to give us, everything that we need.
Therefore let us trust Him also during this Coronavirus crises like in any other situations of distress by praying, pleading, thanking. So often He has saved us, acted wonderfully on us. Should He now act otherwise? Defintely not! This would completely contradict His loving nature.
We want to thank Him, want to lift up our eyes, our tired heavy loaded head towards Him.
Why we always should look down to the dust on the ground? Jesus wants to encourage us to change our perspective, to show us how we can move from negative thinking to liberating positivity. Thanking Jesus chases the enemy away! Jesus has overcome the virus already! We should trust Him and command in His name the virus to go, should thank Him already now for it. Yes, there is power in the prayer. Let us trust and praise Him! Our prayers will then be answered.
Therefore, our Coronavirus prayer strategy should be as follows: Thank Jesus, that He has defeated this virus, rejoice as if this already has happened. Take it in faith!
Of course we respect all social security measurements. But there is no room for fear in us, the virusl no longer scares us.
No, we want to praise God, the battle is His!  He definitely is the Stronger!
Let us purify us from all that pollutes us, worries us, makes us unholy. Let us pray, if necessary fast, not to force Him but to be closer to Him.

Jesus, You are the more powerful! You love and care for us, fight for us. You will be victorious! Thank You, I am on Your side, praise your victory even when I cannot not see it now. But in faith I know: You are the Overcomer of the coronavirus. I rejoice!
