Loved from God – 2015.05.04

“You are my Son, whom I dearly love; in you I find happiness.”
Luke 3:22
When Jesus was baptized, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit came down on him in bodily form like a dove. And there was a voice from heaven saying these words. What a powerful impression this Word of God must have made on Jesus!
Imagine, you sit there and pray or read your Bible, and suddenly this voice from heaven, saying "You are my Son, whom I dearly love; in you I find happiness.". Then you could jump for joy!
There are many people who feel unloved or unnecessary, they are fighting for their place in life or are lonely and abandoned. How many children do not know that they are appreciated. How many old people feel pushed away. How many husbands do not feel loved, and how many wives feel exploited. The wish, actually this strong desire for love and a Yes is very, very strong in us. If we are loved, we can bring the stars from the sky, if we are not loved, our life looses its glimmer.
And there God says: I love you! You are my beloved child!! I wanted you and appreciate you! – This love of God can change our lives and fill us with energy. To some it does not matter whether God loves them. Others have already heard it a thousand times. But who can believe and recognize it, gets wings like an eagle and can soar to new heights. Yes, the love of God, His encouragement, His Yes is the basis of life. It is the source of all other blessings of God.
Can I not grasp it and believe it? Doesn’t it touch me? Then I will turn to Him and become silent before Him. I want to seek Him and have His presence in my life. I want to look for the signs of His love again and see them. And I want to begin to thank Him with all my heart, and with all my strength. The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).
He is there. He loves me. He is everything for me. In His presence, my heart calms down. He gives me peace, joy, forgiveness, a Yes, and so much more what I have dreamed off.
Thank you, Father, You created me and wanted me! You say "Yes" to me, because you really love me. These are not empty words, but power! You elate my soul, fill me with joy, because with You I feel comfortable and welcome. Yes, Your love changes my life!
