Sacrifice and Intercession – 2015.08.11

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
Job 42:10
Job had a long way behind him. He had to suffer a lot and he had lost everything. But who was to blame? He himself was a good man. Those friends that talked to him did not wish to see him suffer. Whose fault was it? It was Gods way with Job. His education and his school for Job. Everything was for his good, this was Gods plan. But before he could elevate Job he had to take everything Job had build upon and what filled Jobs heart with pride. Nothing remained. But in the Job said to God: My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. (Job 42:5).God wanted Job to overcome his inherited believes. He wanted Job to have the living faith with a personal relationship to the Lord. And than, God went one step further: He wanted to heal Jobs heart. It was still full of bitterness against Jobs friends who made accusations against him. Job should pray for them and should even make a sacrifice for them. He had to forgive his friends everything and had to stand up for them before God. This was supposed to be a labor of love not just a religious ritual. His whole heart was supposed to be in this intercession so God would not slay his Friends. When we truly forgive everything, our life’s will be different, our life will become whole. All the bitterness and the constant "Why?" will disappear. And if we take it a step further we will start to pray for our enemies so god will not punish them. The mercy of the Lord shall fill our hearts so it will become soft, light, and kindly. God himself will help us to forgive our enemies. He will heal all bitterness within us. He will show us his enemies the way he sees them: Full of mercy, even if there is so much sin. Than we will be able to love our enemies and wish upon them all the best. Than we are finally free, free of bitterness, reproaches, emotional pain, self-pity, and a lot more.Thank you Jesus, you will forgive all my sin! And I will forgive others whatever they do to me. When I think about the punishment they will get from you I pity them. Please forgive them! Please make that they will become happy and satisfied! Please help them to find You so they can get rest for their souls! Lord have mercy! Bible reading today: Psalm 106: 1-22
