But the fruit of the Spirit is …. gentleness and self-control.
Galatians 5, 22f

My little one had trouble swearing. He always had a swearword that came out automatically. He didn’t really want to, but it happened to him all the time.
After some consideration I came to the conclusion that the ancestors had worshipped Satan and had done many bad things. And I wondered if maybe that was the cause.
I thought that it could not hurt to free him once again from all chains of darkness. That is, from the rights of darkness that they had acquired through the sins of their ancestors to torment their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. So we prayed for forgiveness for these sins, and I spoke to the little one free from all influences of darkness, and I spoke to him the good words of God.
Now I was curious to see if this was really the case and if the little one would stop cursing. Tonight I asked him again how it had developed. He confirmed that no more curses had slipped out of his mouth. That was over a week ago, and I think it will last now. He is really free from the curse.
It is just that the Holy Spirit makes His fruit grow in us and creates new people out of us: joy, love, patience, kindness, mercy, everything is part of it. But also this inability to automatically lie, steal, cheat or curse; = self-control.
We can lie and curse if we want to. But we do not want to. And automatically it is no longer possible, the Spirit of God sees to that.
That is why we want to expose ourselves to Him, just like the flowers of the sun. They begin to grow when they see the sun, and the fruit of the Spirit, this transformation of our character, grows when we expose ourselves to the sun, Jesus. HE is wonderful and wants to transform us into His image. He will succeed more and more. Hallelujah!

Thank You Jesus for doing so much work with me. Yes, You are transforming me into Your image. That’s good. I only need to listen to You and have fellowship with You, then your character will rub off on me. Thanks for being so patient with me!
