The Call III. – 2015.11.10

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world …
1. Corinthians 1:26-27
God has equipped us with strengths and talents. He wants to hone those talents and train our character. He has some job that is just right for us. He has a place where we are right, where our talents are just right, and we love to be at.Some callings are great like Moses calling. But there are so many that are small and quiet. Like the woman that prays and fasts in quiet. She experiences a lot with God but only few people know about that. Like the mother that gives her children a stable home. She does this work without fuss and her children grow up fine, they will become an impotent support for the Kingdom of God. Or like the man that organizes everything behind the stage. Nobody notices him but without his work the preacher can’t preach. There are so many small and plain task! It’s awesome to hear the Lord tell you:" Good job! You were faithful in the smallest things, now I will stand with you faithfully!"When the seven deacons who took care of the widows and poor at the church in Jerusalem were elected, they elected those who were known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom (Acts 6:3). They were elected, not volunteered themself. Their education did not mean anything, but only if they were full of the Spirit. No one is forgotten by God. We don’t need to push ourselves in the first line. And no one needs to be jealous if someone else receives a calling. Our moment is known by God. For each job He chooses the right person and the right moment for a good reason. Maybe we need to learn humility? He knows our way, be sure about that. He doesn’t forget us! We will do our best at the place we are now until He calls us. Because that’s the place He put us in.
Thank You Father, You thought about everything! You knew my way before I was born. Your plans for me are good and wonderful. I want to rest in Your strong but gentle hand and live my life the way You want. Employ me, send me out! Where I am placed is the right place for me. You are with me and encourage me! On Your side even small things become huge!
