War and terror – 2015.02.14

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
Psalm 2, 1
War, civil war, violence, bombs, terrorism ….. these are the messages that reach us every day. The nations rage, are blinded, and the individual people are totally aggressive and fanatical, so that they explode themselves. Everywhere a bomb could explode, you are secure nowhere anymore. Each country may plunge into civil war and violence tomorrow. Where are we safe?
It is the last time before Jesus returns as King and Ruler. The enemy is going crazy and trying to spread his reign of terror. He fears the light and spreads despair and chaos. But Jesus is the Lord. HE will put an end to all this.
God sits in heaven on the throne and laughs over the nations. These little people are trying to live without him! He laughs and scoffs at the dictators, fanatics and those who help the enemy. He will come soon and sit in judgment! He will upright His kingdom of righteousness soon!
He keeps his eyes on his little flock here. HE keeps his eyes on each of his children and leaves nobody alone. HE is the firm castle into which we flee and which gives us protection. Even in prison HE is with us and gives comfort and help. HE is the one who rules over his children, not terror, not the dictators. We are safe and secure with Him in any situation and in any position and at any time. For He is the Lord who always has the last word.
Is the enemy strong as well? The LORD is more powerful! Therefore, let us pray for our country that the LORD would touch it with love and many people would be saved. We want to give ourselves to our beloved Lord and be for Him messengers of love, mercy, grace and humility. HE is with us. We want to fully use this last time!
Thank you, Father in heaven, You control everything. May the nations still rage, may the pagans which don’t know You, still be so fanatical: You have the last word. I can trust You in this insecure time also. You are true to Your word which You give me. Yes, You are the Lord.
