Wings like eagles – 2015.03.22
But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40: 31
2 wanderers walk through the woods all day. The one was big and strong, the other small and with a backpack. In the evening they had to overcome a difficult path. The strong man started to complain. The little hiker, however, grows in happiness and begins to sing liltingly. Why? Because only the Little knows and not the Strong that they have to go only half an hour.
So it is with the faith: We know that we have a goal. We know Jesus is there and shows us places of rest in time.
Jesus wants us to make timely a break to realign us again especially in the morning when we prepare our schedule for the day. He wants us to run and work for Him and to carry burdens of other people with His help. He is not a slave driver who let us work hard without interruption. Truly, He gives us responsibility and duties but He takes care that we are not overwhelmed by too much work.
He gave us talents and skills to exercise various professions. He gives us spiritual gifts. We need both to correctly perform the work He wants us to do. As soon as we lose the relationship to Him we will be under pressure.
He has decided to build the Kingdom of God with us together. He wants to do that not only with the church and the family but also with the schools and all economic enterprises. He wants to do that with us together! He likes to protect us against stress by offering us green pasture beside quiet waters which of course should not lead us in laziness and fear of responsibility. Let us run with Him and towards Him. Then we will have wings like eagles, wings of hope and courage. Yes, the faith in Jesus makes us happy and let us run easily.
Thank you, Jesus, I am not alone! You are there holding my hand and together we go through the day. I do not need to worry as You are close to me. I even may risk something sometimes as Your protecting arms are always over me. I am glad that with you I am able to walk safely even through the valley of the shaddow. You are my comfort, my hope, my strength and my joy.
